To ensure that customers get defect free products, potential failure modes are identified and resolved through FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and PPAP (Production Part Approved Process)
As an initiative, it lays its focus on all in-coming, in-process and final manufacturing stages. For supplier parts, a Supplier Quality manual has been devised to ensure finest quality in addition to the fact that all suppliers to the company are ISO 9001:2000 certified. The manual provides guidelines for quality requirements at various stages of part manufacturing in line with international standards. Regular training sessions are also conducted for the suppliers.
All incoming supplier parts are checked using latest testing and measuring instruments. The production, being the single piece flow, strict in - process checks are established in addition to the mistake proofing at the critical processes. The in-process checks conducted are, Face run out, Element Fabrication integrity, Element End Load and the Seam Profile.
